Win A Wack Magic DVD Featuring Lots O’ Brad Neely!

What? You haven’t heard of Wack Magic yet? Apparently, you weren’t in Austin for SXSW this year. Because that’s the only place in the world where we’ve given it away so far.

We’re proud to announce that Wack Magic is our first-ever promotional DVD. And it’s quite the collectible treasure, if we do say so ourselves. Especially for fans of Brad Neely. Not only does it feature a healthy hoard of I Am Baby Cakes and Professor Brothers videos (as well as some other assorted Neely gems), it also comes with this two-sided mini-poster which Brad drew specifically for this project:

But that’s not all! Wack Magic also has a sampler platter of other Super Deluxe videos on it from geniuses like Devin Flynn, Dave Willis, Louis Katz, Dave Hill, The Post Show, Team Tiger Awesome and Nick Goossen. And they’re all viewable on a DVD machine.

Now for the contest part : we’ve got 10 copies of Wack Magic that we want to give away. Free. Gratis. Sans the filthy lucre. All you have to do to win one is show us your best and most creative “wack magic.” What does that mean? We’ll give you an example. Here’s something we did around the office here with the blog’s ombudsman and resident wizard, David Levin:

Now, once you make your wackical magical creation, here’s what you do: upload it to Super Deluxe, make sure to title and tag it WACK MAGIC CONTEST, and then paste the URL in a comment on this post. That way, we can’t miss it. When we get 10 good videos from you (or even 5 decent ones), we’ll post them all here on the blog, announce the winners and send you your free DVDs. Just like that.

    • I want to enter this contest. Having a copy of this DVD would cure my Cancer and help me bring my tryglicerides down.

      First I have to figure out what “omnibudsman” is. I hope is has to do with marijuana.

    • I’m making one! It’ll be another couple days though, I have an exam thursday. Don’t give up hope and cancel the contest because there aren’t any entries or anything!

    • Neil: Love it.

      Christy: You don’t need no fancy equipment — if you have a webcam you can just use that, or go way oldschool and just draw some stuff and take photos of it and stitch them together into a video. The important thing is just to have an idea and communicate it in whatever way you can.

    • Have all of the dvd’s been won? I think I’m going to put together my own “wack magic” clip provided I can get my hands on one. I really want to win it for my boyfriend. He’s in love with the professor brothers and baby cakes; I’ve been scouring the internet for some merchandise to buy for his birthday but sadly there’s nothing. I know he’d LOVE this. I hope that didn’t sound too cheesy. Thanks!

    • Well as far as I know (I don’t work for superdeluxe or anything, I’m just one of the contest entrants) there are still dvds left, and I’m sure if you were to make a clip you would receive one of them.
      However, I do not think that at this rate you would receive the disk by his birthday. My understanding is that they aren’t going to send them out until they have all been won. Hope this reply has been helpful.

    • I really want to enter this. I really want this DVD. But when I try to upload my video on my profile page, I get a message that SD is no longer accepting new user-generated content. What’s up with that? I’m brand new, so did I miss something, or am I just doing it wrong? And is this contest still even going on?

    • Yeah, still not working. I feel like there’s a newspost or blog entry from SD that I’m missing that would have said something like, “Hey, guess what! You can’t upload shit anymore! Hooray!”
