Seeing the Deal sisters back on stage was the absolute highlight of day.
The sun shone brightly on all who came out yesterday to our other big event that we cosponsored at SXSW. MESS WITH TEXAS 2 was a much more sprawling affair than MAKE FUNNY NOT WAR. For starters, it was outside at Waterloo Park (which apparently is a great place to smoke crack in the off-season). From what we could tell, about a billion people showed up (it was free, after all). And in addition to our line-up, there were two other stages with, like, a gazillion bands on them. Again, we want to thank everyone who helped make it happen, blah, blah, blah…

So, our big SXSW showcase was a big success. Lots of people, lots of fun and lots of wacky comedy. And by “lots,” we mean more than two dozen comedians performing in two separate rooms at Esther’s Follies for nearly 6 hours. That’s a “lots.” Thanks go out to everyone that helped make MAKE FUNNY NOT WAR happen, and, of course, to all of the comedians.
Now for the footage. We’ll be posting various bits over the next week as well as releasing a MAKE FUNNY NOT WAR podcast. All of which will be viewable.
