Sure, you know him as the feckless hero in “Treasure Trail,” and are as equally entranced by his squirmy ridiculousness as we are. Today’s episode features one of his most compelling man-on-man love scenes yet.
But did you know that Jay Rondot also likes to do just about anything “…With The Stars!?”

We don’t know how busy your days are, but here at Super Deluxe, not one blessed minute goes by when our servers aren’t being stuffed like Cornish game hens full of uploaded videos by users like you. Admittedly, there’s not enough Ritalin in the world to watch them all. So, every once in a while, we like to pluck an uploader we’re particularly fond of out of the ever-expanding bouillabaisse of user generated clips, dry them off and then wet them down again with a shower of affection.
Today, that shower is being poured on the Galileo Players. They’re a comedy troupe from Chicago “that writes and performs original comedic theater focusing on scientific, philosophical and intellectual themes.” For real, they perform at engineering conferences. They also make t-shirts like this…
And, of course, they make videos we love. Their series–”Science Digest with Matthew Arden”–is what Charlie Rose would be like if he had a lobotomy on the Discovery Channel.
Not since the epic collaborations of Sting and Diddy, of R. Kelly and Celine Dion–nay!–of Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney has there been such a duet–two brothers from different mothers united in music, connected by aquaducts of equanimity and buttressed by arches of harmony (with mellifluous grouting)–that so effortlessly spans the troubled waters of racial divisions.
Ladies and gentlemen, without any further garblings about ethnic cement mixers or whatnot, I give you Jonah Ray and Tay Zonday collaborating on Tay’s Internet smash, “Chocolate Rain.”
By the way, “Chocolate Rain” is now well over the million views mark on YouTube. Way to go, Tay! To celebrate, let’s all watch it again, shall we?
This is one of the least snarky, least biting and least “comedic” things Trey Parker and Matt Stone have ever done. And that’s exactly why we love it so much.
For whatever reason, the South Park creators have taken some audio clips from the late, great Eastern philosophy guru, Alan Watts (seen here looking wise)…
…and set them to some appropriately restrained Flash animation magic. The result is a surprisingly tasteful break from the usual online video madness out there.
Check it out RIGHT HERE.

An ode to Atlanta’s public transportation.

A MARTA train, seen here cruising at a comfortable 25 miles an hour, ensuring that I am late for work every fucking day.

A MARTA employee on break, standing proud of his accomplishments while all east/westbound trains “single-track.”

Here, we see a happy group of commuters on Segways. A common sight on the train when you are on an “Out of Service” train with paid actors.
Next stop: Buckhead!
Maybe it’s time for me to get out my fucking checkbook and buy a car.
hey bitches, this fella dances and prances around with the best of em. the tune gets wedged waaaay up into your mind.
who’s cuter?
or
either way you answer, they both have great summer songs!
We are! But this year, instead of wasting our hard-earned skrillz on another dumb Jack Sparrow costume, we decided to finally get that Skeletor tattoo we’ve been saving up for. Whaddya think?
Speaking of good looking guys, guess who else will be at Comic-Con? Mr. Steve Agee! And he even made a nice lil’ video blog about it:
If you can’t catch Steve in San Diego, why not just listen to some Crazy Town (to get that cool SoCal feeling)? Or even better, check out the new Super Deluxe series he’s starring in. It’s called “Sam’s Home,” and it’s debuting next week. In short, Steve plays Sam, a man-child who manages to wander home after being kidnapped for 25 years. Wackiness ensues.
It’s weird. Because I haven’t actually seen her lurking around outside my apartment. And I’ve never caught her crawling underneath my Toyota Matrix, scrawling “I Love You” messages on the carburetor. And–truth be told–the last person police found “skulking outside” the Super Deluxe offices … was me (I had forgotten my security badge that day).
OK, I admit. I have stalker envy. That’s because Mel, the crazy fan Kristen plays in “Flight Of The Conchords,” has a really funny video blog about her two favorite objects of desire, Jemaine and Bret. And not me.
So, I was just strolling around the Lower East Side the other day–eating gellato and trying not to be too annoyed with my buddy and his stupid, new iPhone–when all of a sudden I ran into an old friend (who thankfully wasn’t on an iPhone): Shonali Bhowmik.
Who’s that, you ask? Well, Shonali’s the lead singer of a wonderful band called Tigers & Monkeys. But she’s also one-fourth of the Variety Shac, an all-female comedy and music troupe out of New York that we can’t get enough of. That’s her on the far left.
While we’re at it, let’s just keep the introductions going: next to Shonali is Heather Lawless who we covet and who you may recognize from Bobby Tisdale’s “Bobby’s Beautiful Bed & Breakfast.”
Next to her is Ms. Chelsea Peretti who we don’t have to covet because she’s already ours!! Her “Making Friends” series was just the beginning of our beautiful relationship. Lately, she’s been working on some new Super Deluxe material as well as stuff for Adult Swim. And the buzz is only growing and growing.
And finally, next to Chelsea is Andrea Rosen who we also no longer have to covet because she has a new show coming up on Super Deluxe soon. It’s called “Standrea” and it’s about her and her boyfriend, Stan. To whet your appetite, here’s one of my favorite shorts with Andrea in it from the “Captains In Space” series…
Question: When is Super Deluxe going to have some amazing new features for me to enjoy?
Answer: Today.
It’s been awhile since the nerds took over the blogspace. But, we’re here to break it down one time. Or something. Forget it. Here’s what we’ve been working on:
- Homepage Redesign: Our new homepage is chock full of video goodness. There are more featured videos from our Artists and links to their profiles. There’s direct access to some of our funniest series. And, more videos from our community of awesome Members (you!). Everyone should be able to find something to spend hours of their day doing.
- Search: Queries now return results for videos plus Artists and Members. And, if you click through to the view all page for a specific type, you can sort the columns a number of different ways. Try it out.
- Series: I know you love Chasing Donovan. I love it, too. Wouldn’t it be great if there was a page specifically built to house Donovan’s antics? If you said “Yes!” then you’re in luck. Every series created by our talented Artists now has its own profile page. You can subscribe to get new episodes of the series, watch episodes individually—or even watch them all from the beginning with the Watch All Episodes link.
- Watch All: A Series page isn’t the only place you can enjoy a stream of videos. Throughout the site you’ll find links to Watch All Videos of a Member, Artist or Advertiser or the latest featured videos on the homepage.
- Extra Videos: After every video, there is now a list of extra videos that show up directly in the player for you to be entertained by. The list scrolls through a few pages of choices and will loop back through if you don’t select anything.
- Credits: Anyone can now add credits to their videos. Now everyone will know exactly who played the role of Gnorm in your classic short “Gnome, Sweet Gnome.” By the way, I love that video. Thanks for uploading it.
- Video Views: Simply put, this is the number of times a video has been viewed. You’ll see this on the Profile, View All Uploads and Video Detail pages.
We’ve also made other changes to the layout here and there. Everyone’s Profile page gets a newish look along with their View All Uploads pages. The Video Details page has some extra info, such as views and credits, as mentioned above, plus if it is part of a Series, you’ll get that info, too.
Plus! There’s bound to be something I forgot to mention here. See if you can find it.
Nice talking to you again. It’s been my pleasure!
