ATL Represent: The Other Music Scene In Town

Sure, Atlanta’s home to Outkast, Ludacris, T.I., Cee-Lo, Goodie Mob, Ying Yang Twins, Lil’ Jon, Jermaine Dupri, Dallas Austin, Young Jeezy, Lil’ Scrappy, Killer Mike, TLC, Usher, Monica, 112, Ciara, Bonecrusher, Yung Joc, Majesty, Keith Sweat, Dem Franchize Boyz, Youngbloodz, Trillville … and a little metal group called MASTODON!!!

But it’s really nice to see some of the lesser-known acts here getting so much exposure lately (the Black Lips, Deerhunter, Snowden, Manchester Orchestra anyone?). And now it seems MTV has taken a brief moment from its reality TV programming to pay respects…
